Ms. Sandra Montiel, Financial and Treatment Coordinator
Duties: It is my job to welcome you to our office! I am the person that will greet you, give you a tour of our office, and introduce you to Dr. Kim. As a treatment and financial coordinator, I will help you with all of your financial needs from beginning to end.
In the field of orthodontics since: 1996, and I’ve had the privilege of joining Dr. Kim and his great team since 2014.
My favorite thing about orthodontics: I love meeting our new patients and building lasting relationships. Talking with our patients and being part of the transformation of their smiles makes the job incredibly rewarding for me.
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: is working for a kind and knowledgeable doctor. Our practice has a lot of fun with contests and cool office shirts. Rest assured that you will always be treated well by our staff!
Where are you from: I am a native of Granada Hills. : )
When I am not at the office: I enjoy spending quality time with my son, family, and friends. I also like to travel, read, paint, and watch comedy movies.
Ms. Christine Cardoza, Registered Orthodontic Assistant
Duties: Assisting Dr. Kim, sterlizing equipment, and providing great customer service.

My favorite thing about orthodontics: Working with children, making peoples’ smiles better, working with braces, and fixing peoples’ teeth.
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: He is very nice about explaining things and having patience with all of us.

Where are you from: I’m a native of Glendale, California.
When I’m not in the office: In my free time I love working out and hiking.

Mr. Luigi Michael Estuye, Registered Orthodontic Assistant
Duties: My duties as an assistant are to assist Dr. Kim in any form during patient treatment. Also taking care of patients and fellow staff members.

My favorite thing about orthodontics: It’s the end of someone’s treatment, because everyone’s smile looks perfect!
My patients are great because: I love that they smile and become more and more comfortable with every appointment.
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: Hmm. It’s probably how smooth and easy going Dr. Kim is.
Where are you from: I’m a native of Granada Hills, in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California.
When I’m not in the office: In my free time I’m either at the gym, on YouTube, filming, taking pictures, or drawing.
Tell us something we might not know about you: You might not know that I am a YouTuber and I post vlogs, adventures and really cool stuff!
Tell us about your family: I have a mother, stepfather, two sisters and one brother. I am the eldest.
Ms. Theresa Mendoza, Registered Orthodontic Assistant
Duties: Chairside duties including increasing Dr. Kim’s efficiency in the delivery of quality orthodontic care in treatment procedures and making our patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
Worked with Dr. Kim since: Early 2016.
My favorite thing about orthodontics:Seeing our patients’ confidence change from beginning to end with treatment and for allowing me to play a role in making their orthodontic treatment memorable.
My patients are great because: My patients are great because they are very enthusiastic and curious, and ask great questions.
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: Dr. Kim’s patients are his top priority, and that he is very approachable whether it be patients, parents, or staff. Dr. Kim is very caring and patient.
Where are you from:I’m a native of Ventura County.
When I’m not in the office:In my free time, I enjoy hiking, poetry, trying different ethnic foods and learning about other cultures. Last but not least, I am an annual Disney pass holder so I try to go often!
Tell us something we might not know about you: You might not know that I studied method acting as a hobby for a few years, recently ran my first Disney half marathon, and have hiked Mt. Baldy twice!
Mrs. Bethzaida Young, Registered Dental Assistant
Duties: My duties include assisting Dr. Kim, Sterilization, seating/dismissing patients, and providing great customer service.

My favorite thing about orthodontics: Having patients come into our office with their dreams of having a great smile and experiencing the transformation with them.
My patients are great because: They do a great job of maintaining excellent oral hygiene. They are all awesome patients and they know how to have a great time.
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: I really enjoy working with Dr. Kim. He is an excellent orthodontist and really cares about his patients’ treatment and well-being.
Where are you from:I’m a native of Kerrville, TX.
When I’m not in the office: I like to hike, bike ride, go on long walks, go to the beach, shop, watch movies, and volunteer.
Tell us something we might not know about you: I LOVE chocolate and I hate wearing socks to sleep no matter how cold it is.
Tell us about your family:I am the eldest of three. I have a younger brother and sister. I am also married to the man of my dreams and we have an adorable dog (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) who is three years of age.
Mrs. Sunmi Ko, Treatment Coordinator
Duties: My duties include welcome all of our new patients to our practice. I always do what I can do make sure the people who walk through our doors feel like a valued part of our practice. I also assist Dr. Kim with new patient exams, X-rays, discussing recommended treatment plans, reviewing patients’ financial options and scheduling follow-up appointment.
Worked with Dr. Kim Since: I’ve been with Dr. Brian Kim since 2012, but I have over 6 years of experience in the dental field.
My favorite thing about orthodontics: My favorite thing about working in orthodontics is, of course, the patients. I love getting to know each and every patient who comes into the office, and over time, becoming their friend. Our team always strives to provide the best care to our patients. When patients come to us, I believe that it is our priority to care for them and treat them with the same respect we would our own families. Then getting to watch all of the smiles transform!

Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: The thing I like best about working with Dr. Brian Kim is seeing his enthusiasm for orthodontics; Dr. Kim puts his heart with great attitude and attention to detail for each patient.
Family Members: I’m a native of Seoul in South Korea and have live in Santa Clarita with the sweetest husband and two wonderful sons.
When I am not at the office: In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, and teaching and lesson planning as an instructor at the Korean Institute of Southern California.
You might not know that I have my College Degree in Art and I teach Korean at Korean Institute of Southern California every Saturday.
Ms. Ibeth Dominguez, Front Office Receptionist
Duties: As the Appointment Coordinator, I help our patients schedule appointments and assist them in any way possible.
In the field of orthodontics since: 2012, and I have been with Dr. Kim since 2014.
My favorite thing about orthodontics: is seeing everyone’s beautiful smile transformation at the end of their treatment.
My patients are great because: because they look forward to coming in. I love seeing how excited they get when they receive their Kim Kash and get a chance to spin the prize wheel!
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim: The thing I like best about working with Dr. Kim and staff is that they are a wonderful group of caring people who treats every patient with the highest quality of care. Our team works together as a family, and we enjoy every day at the office.
Where are from: I am a native of North Hollywood, California.
Family Members: I come from a pretty big family with three brothers and one sister.
When I am not at the office: When I’m not working, I like to spend my time at the gym or going on hikes. I love staying active!
Mrs. Nicole Kim, Business Manager
Duties: Patient care, staff management, business management, and creating seasonal fun programs for our precious patients.
In the field of orthodontics since: 2002
My favorite thing about orthodontics: I get to see a complete life change in our patients. They walk in with smile that they are not sure of (some do not even smile) and are transformed into a person who cannot help but smile at the end of treatment because they are so proud of their stunning change. I get to see the self-esteem of our patients skyrocket when Dr. Kim finishes his work on them. How rewarding that is!
Best thing about my job: I love meeting new patients, creating fun programs for our patients, and most of all supporting Dr. Kim’s DREAM JOB! It’s so rewarding to support your best friend with his dream. Being a middle school teacher, I love learning new things. Working at Dr. Kim’s office allows me to do just that. Going to conferences and meeting people at Dr. Kim’s office, I learn new things everyday. The more I learn, the more new and varied perspectives I see in my own life!
Best thing about working with Dr. Kim He is so sincere and gives all in everything he does. He doesn’t just work with his hand and mind but with his heart. He never settles for less than his best in his career, and he inspires me to do the same by being a living example. Dr. Kim ROCKS!
Native of: I lived in the San Fernando Valley since 1988, graduated from UC San Diego and UC Irvine for my master’s degree in my young adult years, taught in the School of Advance Studies (SAS) program at Nobel middle school in Northridge, and I have been teaching Math at Rancho Pico Jr. High School in Westridge since 2005 (and will stay there until I retire).
Family members: My best friend and husband, Dr. Kim, and two precious daughters, Charlotte and Naomi
When I am not at the office: I enjoy teaching Algebra and Geometry to my energetic junior high school students at Rancho Pico Jr. High School in Westridge, play with my daughters, look through American Girl catalogs with my girls, hang out at the bookstore with my family, memorize AWANA verses with my princesses Charlotte & Naomi, draw portraits of my family, do gardening, cook Iron Chef style (look through my refrigerator and create a dish with whatever ingredients that are available; it’s fun!), read education related books, read History of Math (ask Dr. Kim what he thinks about that), attend orthodontic conferences, eat out with my teacher friends (Yes, teachers do go out), solve some math problems for fun, and have friends and family over for dinner.
